In her typical Bhojpuri style, Rabri Devi, former chief minister of Bihar and wife of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad, called upon her party supporters in Rewari to vote for the Congress.

“If you vote for Captain Ajay Singh Yadav, it will be a victory of Lalu Prasad,” she said to the crowd who were expecting the man in the rally.

“Lalu Prasad is recuperating from heart surgery so he could not come but he has sent a message. He has appealed to all Purvanchali voters to support Captain Ajay Singh,” she said.

Rabri reached Shivnagar, Dharuhera around 12.30pm with her son Tejaswi Yadav to address a rally in support of Congress candidate Captain Ajay Singh who is contesting his seventh assembly election from Rewari assembly constituency.

Putting up an emotional show, she explained the marital relationship between the two families and that Purvanchalis were in direct relation with Captain Ajay as her daughter is married to Captain’s son Chiranjeev Rao.
