The Punjab government is prepared to render "all possible help" to Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh for cricket academy, chief minister Parkash Singh Badal said on Tuesday.
"The Punjab government is prepared to provide all possible help out of the way to Yuvraj Singh if the player is keen to open a cricket academy in the state," the chief minister told reporters here.
Not only cricket, the Punjab government is keen to promote other games like football and hockey provided talented players show interest to contribute for the upcoming players, he said.
"I am ready to sign a blank cheque for Yuvraj if he desires to open a cricket academy in Punjab," he added.
Yuvraj Singh, who underwent three chemotherapy sessions in the United States for a rare germ cell cancer in his lungs, returned to the country on Monday to a rousing reception from adoring fans in New Delhi and Punjab.
