With upcoming Punjabi film, Stupid 7, Chandigarh girl Gunit Cour will make her debut in the world of regional cinema. Talking about her role in the film, 16-year-old Gunit says she plays Divya, a pampered daughter of a single parent who falls in love with her teacher. The film, which releases on February 1, also stars seasoned actors such as Guggu Gill and Jaswinder Bhalla.

Gunit, who is a Class 10 student, likes to write poems and stories when not thinking of films. “I write poems on friendships and personal relationships and various short stories on my blog,” she says. Along with a friend, Gunit even plans to pen a novel, titled Wish You Knew the Truth.

Previously, Gunit was seen in a TV show called It’s My Life, aired on NDTV Imagine. “I was five years old when I did my first advertisement and have done many since,” says the daughter of doctor father and motivational speaker mother.

Next, she plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Juilliard, New York, a dance, drama and music school. “I have already done a theatre course under the ageis of National School of Drama, so would definitely keep doing theatre,” she says.
