The action was taken on a local court order.

The complainant Leelo Devi, a widow, told the court that Lal had got registered her ancestral land in favour of Ashwani and his father by fraudulent means.

She alleged Prakash and Maggar helped Lal, Ashwini and Jai Karan in preparing the sale deed.

The court had asked Jammu Crime Branch SSP to register a case against the accused and investigate the matter.

The probe found the five persons guilty of preparing fake documents to get the sale deed executed.

Further investigation into the matter is in progress, the official said.
