The victim, Rajiv Kumar, resident of Panchkula's Sector 20, works at Sector 5 of MDC) told the police that after the day's work, around 8 pm, he was going back with the collection of around Rs 4.5 lakh in a bag. As he was putting the bag in his Swift Dzire sedan, two motorcycle-borne youths approached him and one of them put a gun at his temple. They abused him and asked him to hand over the bag, which he did without protest, says the complaint. Before leaving, the men allegedly took Kumar's purse and iPhone too. The robbers then joined two of their accomplices, who were also on a motorcycle, and fled.
Kumar said the robbers did not have their faces covered, not even wearing helmets. He told the police that he could identify them and they looked to be in their 20s.
