The Revenue Patwar Union, Punjab, on Friday handed over a draft for Rs 36.52 lakh to Punjab revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for rehabilitation work in flood-ravaged Uttarakhand.

Majithia said the state government had already contributed Rs 10 crore for rebuilding various religious places, besides adopting 25 villages for rehabilitation through its public works department (PWD) in Uttarakhand.

He added that Rs 5.18 crore had been donated by the people and employees of Punjab towards the Prime Minister's Relief Fund through chief minister Parkash Singh Badal recently.
