Congress candidate from Anandpur Sahib constituency Ambika Soni intensified her campaign in the villages of SAS Nagar on Sunday.
Ambika along with SAS Nagar MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu paid obeisance at Gurdwara Singh Saheedan in Sohana and later went to Bakarpur and Saneta villages.
Lashing out at SAD candidate Prem Singh Chandumarja, Ambika said he had faced defeat from various constituencies in the state due to his ill-behaviour and weak vision, especially towards women, and voters of Punjab were intelligent and they understand the intention of the candidates.
During meetings with workers at various places, she said she found that the people of the state were been fed up from the ruling party.
Addressing the gathering in Senate village, Ambika criticised the SAD-BJP government and said it failed on all fronts.
She further said the law and order situation of the state was paralysed. "The financial condition of the state has collapsed and even its employees are not getting their salaries in time and pensioners are facing acute financial hardship as the state government has failed to clear their pension, medical and other bills. The state government which is doling on the issue of development is just befooling the voters of the state as there is no development of any type in rural as well in urban sectors."
