More than two months after Congress leader Pradeep Sangwan was booked for rape by the Dehradun police, the police of the hill state on Sunday attached his sector-14 property in Sonepat town on the orders of a Dehradun court.

A team led by ASP Mamta Bohra reached Sangwan’s house in Sonepat town and took away household goods in a truck to Dehradun.

Talking to mediapersons, Bohra said that the CJM court Dehradun, had ordered to attach he property of the accused. She said that they were looking for him, but he was found missing from his house.

As per details, Pradeep Sangwan was booked under 376 (rape) of the IPC on April 18 on the complaint by a staffer of Dehradun based water park, owned by him.

The victim had accused Pradeep of taking him to Mussoorie on some pretext in 2012 where he allegedly raped her.

Notably, Sangwan had created a flutter in the political circles in the run up to the parliamentary polls by quitting the BJP over denial of a ticket from Sonepat and joined the Congress in the presence of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
