The sarpanch of Kheri Sarf Ali village, near Assandh, has been booked for allegedly exploiting a widow sexually and forcing her to indulge in obscene acts for more than a year.

Following a complaint by the 40-year-old woman on Friday, the police conducted her medical examination at the civil hospital on Friday night and booked 60-year-old Joginder Singh.

The accused knew the victim and both hailed from Kheri Sarf Ali village.
