SAS Nagar: 14 year old hanged himself incidentally at Mataur

A 14 year old boy died under the mysterious conditions, on Thursday at village Mataur in SAS Nagar. The deceased has been identified as Arjun (14), was found hanging at his house in village Mataur in SAS Nagar.

However, the father of the deceased Mameshwer who is a junk dealer said that he was on his job when the incident has taken place. He added that he had five kids including two daughters, and three of them were at the house including deceased, whereas an elder boy and a girl were working as domestic help with their mother and were out.

The police said that trio were playing at their home in the absence of their family members. Though Arjun was the elder brother of other and teaching them how one can commit suicide. While giving them a demo he tied the knot of rope with his neck and stretched it to fan and telling them how one can die, incidentally he slipped his feet from the base and hanged with the piece of rope.

According to the police kin and kith raised the alarm about the incident, the neighbors reached the spot and rescue the body. Further they rushed him to the civil hospital at phase 6 in SAS Nagar after informing the police, where doctors declared him brought dead.

While giving the details to the police, father of the deceased said that the victim was not studying in any school, but he ever stays in home to take care of his kin and kith as he was elder. He also explained that to earn the bread and butter for the family, his wife Shashi Bala along with his daughter and son worked as servants.

Station house officer (SHO) of Mataur police station, Rajiv Kumar said that while inspecting the spot no foul play has
been found and moreover no visible injury mark expect on neck was found on the body. He added that after conducting the postmortem, the body will be handover to the family members of the deceased and further the inquest proceedings of 174 CrPC.
