SAS Nagar all geared up for PM's visit on Dec 30

With Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visiting Mullanpur to lay the foundation stone of Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) Hospital at Medicity on December 30, the SAS Nagar administration is all geared up for his visit.

With Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visiting Mullanpur to lay the foundation stone of Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) Hospital at Medicity on December 30, the SAS Nagar administration is all geared up for his visit.

All roads leading to the venue are being carpeted and the administration have built new road from the Mullanpur-Siswan road to the venue, boundary wall of the upcoming hospital has been painted and ground is being levelled near the venue. Cops too have been deployed at the venue and from the past one week dog squad and anti-sabotage teams are also visiting the site.

SAS Nagar deputy commissioner Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said, “Duties of various officers have been finalised and preparation work is on. The Prime Minister will arrive around 3 pm on December 30.”
SAS Nagar senior superintendent of police Inder Mohan Singh said, “The additional director general of police (law and order) is the incharge of the visit and by Monday, we will finalise everything regarding deployment of cops and other arrangements.”

On September 14, PM Manmohan Singh came to Chandigarh to hand over keys of newly built flats to slum dwellers at a housing colony in Dhanas area of Chandigarh.
