The Parwanoo police on Monday night registered a zero FIR under sections 376 (rape) and 363 (kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage, etc), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and transferred it to the SAS Nagar police.
The accused have been identified as Bhupinder Singh and Harpreet Singh, residents of Karnal.
As per the complaint, the incident took place on January 2 when the accused invited the victim to their car and took her to Parwanoo for an interview.
When they reached Parwanoo, the accused offered the woman a sedative- laced cold drink and she got unconscious after consuming it. The victim further alleged that after abducting her, the accused raped her and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
Police sources said one of the accused was the owner of a private company in Karnal and they got in touch with the victim through a job opening in the company.
The SAS Nagar police said they were conducting raids to nab the accused in various areas of the city.
The police said they would solve the case with the help of police of Himachal and Haryana.
