Nearly 70 girls and a few boys of college management authorities, Sector 32, on Monday sat on strike, demanding the removal of hostel warden Usha Sawant.

The students have allegedly accused Usha Sawant of mental harassment. Meanwhile, the authorities concerned termed the strike as "stunt" to gain attention ahead of the upcoming student council elections.

One of the protesting girl students alleged that they had been mentally harassed by hostel warden for long time now and they wanted her to be removed.

The students alleged that one of the girls had fallen sick on Sunday night and the warden did not make any arrangement so that she could be taken to the hospital. Students said they were adamant and would not end strike till their demand was fulfilled.
