Security forces should be modernised, says Shivraj Patil

UT administrator Shivraj Patil stressed upon keeping our security forces modernised and better equipped for national security.

Speaking at the inauguraion of a workshop on ‘Digital eyereal time border surveillance’ by Border Security Force (BSF) at University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Panjab University (UICET, PU), Patil said India’s national security, its territory and integrity was guarded and protected by its armed forces. Paramilitary forces, state police and other organisations aided them in their efforts for this purpose.

Patil further said in order to guard the country’s interests, fences had been erected on the borders between India and Bangladesh.
