Seven die in road mishap in Haryana

Seven persons were killed and 15 others injured when three vehicles collided near Balarkha village on the Narwana-Patiala road in Jind district of Haryana on Tuesday.

Police said that members of a wedding party travelling in a jeep were returning to Jind from Bathinda in Punjab when the mishap occurred.

The victims, who died on the spot, were Vikas, Mukesh, Bhagwat, Bubu Lal and Deepak, all residents of Jind city, and Satnam and Gurtej of Punjab travelling in a multi-purpose vehicle, police said. A mini-truck was also involved in the mishap.

Deceased Deepak was driving the jeep, police said, adding that all the injured were admitted to general hospital at Narwana. Police has registered a case.
