Punjab government would introduce a 'single window system' for approving new projects of up to Rs 5 crore instantly to make the state industry-friendly, state trade and industry minister Anil Joshi said on Friday.
Addressing industrialists here, Joshi said the state government was committed to bring overall development in the industrial sector by providing modern infrastructure.
He said that to set up new industrial units, the state government had identified land that would be handed over to newcomers to promote growth.
Joshi assured the gathering that in future, industry in the state would grow on a war-footing level, as the "government will extend all help to entrepreneurs".
He said the Punjab government had recently signed a memorandum of understanding with a German-based company, wherein four big technical institutions were being setup in the state and one technical institution would be set up here.
With this, employment generation in Punjab, on a large scale could be expected.
