Due to the thick blanket of fog in the capital, eight trains ran behind schedule. The Unchahar Express — that runs between Allahabad and Chandigarh — chugged in 16 hours late at the city railway station.

The Lucknow-Chandigarh Express chugged in an hour and 15 minutes behind schedule. The Howrah- Kalka train continued to run late, and was delayed by 11 hours and 30 minutes.
