Two new courts would start functioning in Sohna of Gurgaon district from September 18, which would help in providing speedy and inexpensive justice to the litigants at their doorstep, district and sessions judge of Gurgaon Shekher Dhawan said in a release on Saturday.

Stating that Punjab and Haryana high court had acceded to the demand of the people in the area for creation of courts at Sohna, he said that the ground floor of the market committee building was being considered proper for the creation of two courts.

He said that the high court had posted Rajesh Kumar Yadav as senior division judicial magistrate-cum-additional civil judge (senior divison), Sohna, whereas Saurabh Rana had been posted as civil judge (junior division)-cum-judicial magistrate (1st class) at Sohna.

He said that by creating courts at Sohna, litigants of Sohna tehsil would be benefited as they had to come to Gurgaon to attend their cases by covering a distance of over 30 km, thus wasting lot of time and money.
