Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday addressed a rally in Tosham (Bhiwani), Haryana. While addressing the rally, she criticised both Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) of making baseless promises to the people of Haryana.

She said, "Congress does not believe in false promises and people of Haryana are witnesses of development that has come under Congress government."

Sonia further said Congress has always worked for the welfare of the people especially for the below poverty line (BPL) section. Taking a dig at PM Modi, she said, "Though there was lot of hullabaloo of PM's visit to US but the outcome has been nothing."

"BJP has made many big promises that are almost impractical", she added.

Taking shot at INLD supremo Om Parkash Chautala, she said, "Those who are sitting in jail are claiming to be the future CM of the state even though there was a 'goonda raj' and farmers suffered a lot in their tenure."

Sonia Gandhi said Haryana is the land of revolutions: Green Revolution, White Revolution and land of soldiers.
