South African high commissioner France Morule on Monday expressed interest in setting up joint ventures in the agro-processing industry, especially in the field of packaging and marketing of kinnow juice.

Morule, accompanied by the honorary consul general, called on Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal at his residence.

Morule invited the chief minister to lead a business delegation to SA to explore untapped potential in agriculture, coal, food processing, textile and hosiery, adding that South Africa was a duty-free zone.

Badal urged the envoy to lead a high-level delegation of progressive farmers from SA for the four-day agriculture summit in SAS Nagar district from February 16-19.
