State-level Independence Day function in Ludhiana

The Punjab government will organise the state-level Independence Day function in Ludhiana, where chief minister Parkash Singh Badal will unfurl the national flag on Thursday. Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal would be the chief guest at the I-Day function in SAS Nagar.

Stating this here on Monday, a government spokesman said the following cabinet ministers would unfurl the Tricolour: Chunni Lal Bhagat (Ferozepur), Sarwan Singh Phillaur (Jalandhar), Ajit Singh Kohar (Kapurthala), Gulzar Singh Ranike (Gurdaspur), Madan Mohan Mittal (Amritsar), Parminder Singh Dhindsa (Rupnagar), Janmeja Singh Sekhon (Bathinda), Surjit Kumar Jayani (Fazilka), Bikram Singh Majithia (Patiala), Sikander Singh Maluka (Hoshiarpur), Anil Joshi (Tarn Taran), Surjit Singh Rakhra (Sangrur), Sharanjit Singh Dhillon (Moga) and Vidhan Sabha deputy speaker Dinesh Singh (Dhar Kalan).

The spokesman said the following chief parliamentary secretaries would hoist the Tricolour: Sohan Singh Thandal (Fatehgarh Sahib), Ch Nand Lal (Dasuya), Balbir Singh Ghunas (Barnala), Desh Raj Dhugga (Dera Baba Nanak), Harmeet Singh Sandhu (Baba Bakala), Mantar Singh Brar (Faridkot), Mohinder Kaur Josh (Muktsar), Avinash Chander (Phillaur), KK Bhandari (Nawanshahr), Inderbir Singh Bolaria (Batala), Amar Pal Singh Ajnala (Ajnala), Gurbachan Singh Babbehali (Pathankot), Virsa Singh Valtoha (Khanna), NK Sharma (Dera Bassi), F Nesara Khatoon (Malerkotla), Parkash Chand Garg (Mansa), Pawan Kumar Tinu (Jagraon), Saroop Chand Singla (Talwandi Sabo) and Som Parkash (Phagwara).
