THE Rs 14,000 SHOT

Shopkeeper Kamal was attacked in Sector 22 a s he entered the parking lot. “With my injured leg, I reported at the Sector 19 dispensary, where I was forced to shell out Rs 14,000 for the treatment that the authorities claim is available for only Rs 100.”

In Sector 20-A, morning walkers lived the nightmare. KL Jham (68) was bitten on Tuesday. “It is unfortunate that even after so many cases reported every day, the municipal corporation has failed to find a solution,” he said. Area councillor Rajesh Gupta, who visited the spot, said: “I will raise the issue in the House. It seems the MC officials are not taking their job seriously.”
