Teachers' Day was celebrated with great zeal across the schools in the district. Students organised several cultural programmes and listened to the live address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The timings of the schools were rescheduled for the PM's speech, which ended around 5 00 pm.

Ankita, a student of Him Academy Public School said it was she liked the address and was happy that the PM of India shared his views with the students and replied to their queries.

Another student Vivek Thakur said such programmes should be held every year, in which not only the PM, but also the chief ministers of the respective states and education ministers should also interact with the public. He added that through such feedbacks, the government would come to know about the problems, and action cpuld be taken.

However, Ram Singh Rana, a teacher said the way PM handled the students' queries was brilliant. “Though some people might have opposed this move, but this was needed, he said.”
