Taking a swipe at deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal over allegations of land fraud, Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa on Monday said Sukhbir "has no moral right to point the finger at me when his own conduct was not above board".

In a statement here, Bajwa said Sukhbir, during his short 0political career, has faced all sort of charges ranging from backstabbing his political colleagues and engineering defections to corruption and shielding corrupt ministers.

Claiming that Sukhbir and some of his family members were acquitted in a corruption case on technical grounds alone, he said, "That doesn't mean that he has a clean image. The acquittal was never challenged in the higher court which was the logical course of justice."

Hinting that his name has been drag into the land issue for vengeance, Bajwa said the Congress under his leadership has exposed the misdeeds of the SAD-BJP government and brought to light many scandals like the note book scam and the sand mining scandal.

But the government has not take action in any of the cases, he added.
