Sukhbir in Bengaluru to showcase Punjab
Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday reached Karnataka's capital Bengaluru for two days of deliberations with top business promoters and multinational companies from Monday.
Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday reached Karnataka's capital Bengaluru for two days of deliberations with top business promoters and multinational companies from Monday.
His mission is to showcase the investment opportunities in Punjab's information technology, biotechnology, light engineering, infrastructure, agro- and food-processing and healthcare sectors. He will visit Biocon Park at Electronic City and hold one-to-one meeting with biotechnology industry tycoon Dr Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, a spokesman has said here.
Also on his schedule is visit to the Infosys campus, calling upon its chief, NR Narayana Murthy, and interacting with members of the IT company's senior management. He has meetings coming up with BVN Rao of infrastructure giant GMR, and hospital-industry giants Abhay Jain of Manipal and Mohan Pai of Pai hospitals. He will host a dinner for corporate honchos, including the bosses at Bosch and Accenture companies, later in the evening.
On Tuesday, with his state officials, Sukhbir will participate in an investor meet, where he would showcase the investment opportunities in Punjab.
