Department for health and family welfare has swung into action upon a suspected case of polio in Dadahu panchayat. On Saturday, the department administered polio drops to children within age group one to five years in the periphery of 5km of the Dadahu area.
The department found preliminary symptom of polio in four-year old Bhavishay. The child was complaining of pain in legs and was moved to referral hospital Dadahu than he was referred to district hospital. Though it was not confirmed the child was affected with polio virus, as a precautionary measure the department had initiated necessary steps.
A similar case was detected in the area in 2013 but later it was found negative.
