Tanwar told Hindustan Times that though only Ambala constituency candidate Raj Kumar Balmiki had lodged a formal complaint with him, he had feedback from about three other constituencies out of the total 10, where it was alleged that some party workers had worked against the party’s interest. He, however, did not name any other constituency.

“What to talk about others, in my own constituency, some people from my own party tried to spoil my prospects, but failed miserably,” he said.

“I have written to all block- and district-level office bearers to give me in writing about their observations about the election and also grievances, if any, by May 1,” said Tanwar, adding, though he had taken over the HPCC only about two months back, he would ensure that grievances of all aggrieved workers to be sorted out in time and effectively.

“We will get all complaints examined, and on the basis of outcome, we will deal with the erring party workers with an iron hand,” he said.

However, sources with the party said the Congress candidates from several other constituencies too had aired their resentment against some of their party workers during the elections.
