Tewari to inaugurate SAARC engineers' forum meet today

Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Manish Tewari, will inaugurate the 12th apex body international meet of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) engineers' forum on Saturday.

Over 150 delegates, including 44 foreign delegates would exchange the technical know-how, knowledge, expertise and educational thoughts of engineering aspects, a spokesman said here on Friday. The meet is being organised by the All India Federation of Diploma Engineers (AIFODE).

During the summit, seminars, symposia and workshops would be held, where subject specialists would participate in debates on various subjects such as infrastructural development in developing countries, water resource management, regional power grid systems development and climate change and environment protection.

The Federations represents the fraternity of 4.5 lakh diploma engineers of India working in various government departments, boards, corporations with its headquarters in New Delhi.
