Three Punjab players in U-19 Indian squad

Opening batsman Manan Vohra (Chandigarh), medium pacers Sandeep Sharma (Patiala) and Kamal Passi (Amritsar) have been selected in the India Under-19 squad which will participate in the Under-19 Asia Cup to be held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) from June 23.

Opening batsman Manan Vohra (Chandigarh), medium pacers Sandeep Sharma (Patiala) and Kamal Passi (Amritsar) have been selected in the India Under-19 squad which will participate in the Under-19 Asia Cup to be held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) from June 23.


The Punjab trio had earlier represented India Under-19 in the quadrangular featuring West Indies, Australia, Sri Lanka and India played at Vizag which India had won.

Later this trio was again part of India's successful campaign in the quadrangular series in Australia featuring India, Australia, New Zealand and England.

The 15-member squad will have a 10-day camp from June 12 to 20 at Ananthapuram, near Bangalore. The team will depart for Malaysia on June 21, according to PCA spokesperson Sushil Kapoor.
