Three women fall prey to snatchers

Three snatching incidents took place in the city.

In the first incident, two motorcycle-borne youths snatched away the bag of a woman in Sector 30 on Saturday evening.

The complainant, Nancy Choudhary, alleged that her valuables, including ATMs and other important documents, were in the bag.

In the second incident, two unidentified motorcyclists sped away after snatching the bag of a woman in Sector 15 on Friday. Complainant Jyoti Khera, a resident of Sector 15, said the incident took place when she went to a nearby market area. The bag contained Rs 1,000, a mobile phone and a voter card.

Meanwhile, in another such incident, Pooja, a resident of Sector 34, alleged that two unidentified occupants of a motorcycle sped away after snatching her bag from near the health centre of Sector 22.

Pooja told the police that the purse contained Rs 3,000 and a mobile phone. Cases were registered in all incidents.
