Timely delivery of services being offered under the Right to Service Act should be ensured in the state and in case of any negligence strict action would be taken, HS Kandhola, director, governance reforms, said on Wednesday.
He said this while reviewing various services being provided under the Right to Service Act on Wednesday.
Kandhola said to facilitate general public, 149 services had been notified under the act in the state. He directed the officials concerned to work with dedication and also asked the officials to deal with pending cases at the earliest.
Kandhola said new software was designed to address and review pending complaints relating to different departments and for SAS Nagar district, it was made functional on pilot basis to review the pending applications for health, transport, real estate and urban and revenue departments.
He said other departments would be linked with this software very soon. Thereafter, online review would be made applicable to the other districts of the state.
SP (traffic), SS Bains, Mohali sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Lakhmeer Singh, Dera Bassi SDM Sanjeev Kumar, assistant commissioner (general) Jashanpreet Kaur Gill, municipal council joint commissioner Nayan Bhullar and other officials of various departments were also present on the occasion.
