Buzz is that upcoming Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Bombay Velvet (BV) is to be a trilogy, but director Anurag Kashyap says that a lot will depend on how part one performs. The film is likely to go on the floor in July.
“It’s true that BV is just one film (from the trilogy). But first, let’s see how it does. Only then we will take a call on the other two parts. Anyway, it’s too early to talk about it. Right now, I am only concentrating on the first film,” says Kashyap.
The period film is set in Mumbai in the era spanning between the 50s and 70s, and the trilogy apparently showcases how the city became a metropolis.
“Anyway, how many films am I supposed to be doing at one time? Am I some sort of a superhuman that I will handle so many movies at one go?” says Kashyap, who is rumoured to be working with Shah Rukh Khan in a forthcoming film as well (he reportedly even visited SRK at his home as the star recuperates after his shoulder surgery)
