Two bodies found on railway track

Two unidentified bodies were found on the railway track here on Saturday. In the first incident, the railway police said a youth was found dead near Jagatpura area. It is assumed that the youth might be crushed under a passenger train.

Jagdev Singh, a passerby, informed the railway police that unidentified body of a youth was found lying on the railway track. Police did not find any identity from his possession.

In another incident, a man was found dead on the railway track near Chaila village in SAS Nagar on Saturday. Police said a railway employee spotted the body and informed them. No identification proof was recovered from his possession.

Police also said that even after enquiring the villagers, it was found that the man did not belong to the area. Meanwhile, both of the bodies have been shifted to a mortuary at the Civil Hospital in Phase 6.
