“The current owner claims that he had parked the car near his house on Thursday night. The owner found it missing the next morning,” said Kumar.

The locals, who first saw the burnt car, informed the police.

Meanwhile, a team of experts from Dharamsala Regional Forensic Sceince Laboratory visited the spot to trace collect the evidences.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the case. Sources told that the police were suspecting the victim could be the carjackers, who were fleeing after stealing the vehicle.
