Additional district and sessions judge Arun Kumar Singal on Monday awarded four-year jail to two youths guilty of robbing Panchkula residents.

Convicts have been identified as Rahul and Sudesh, residents of Rajiv Colony, Panchkula. The court also imposed a fine of `2,000 on the convicts. Three more accused in the case were juvenile at the time of arrest and their case is pending before the Juvenile Justice Board.

Rahul and Sudesh were booked on the complaint of Raj Kumar, a resident of Baltana, on December 22, 2013.

The complainant claimed that on the intervening night of December 21-22 he was with his nephew on a motorcycle when the convicts intercepted them and attacked them. Before fleeing the spot, the convicts snatched Raj's mobile and purse of his nephew.
