The police on Tuesday have arrested two accused of Jind district and recovered Rs 61 lakh from them near Lakhanmajra village of the district.
As per details, when traders Davinder Singh and Satparkash in their car were heading to their poultry farm in Jind on Monday late evening, four armed youths waylaid them near Lakhanmajra village and injured the two, but the victims managed to flee from the spot.
The matter came to the fore when assistant subinspector Kaptan Singh, who was going home noticed the damaged car. He then alerted the police.
Inspector general of police (Rohtak range) Alok Mittal, SSP Vivek Sharma reached the spot. After being chased by the poice, the three youths, who were trying to take away the car, managed to flee.
Addressing the media persons here on Tuesday, SSP Vivek Sharma said: "Nakas were set after the incident in Rohtak, Jind and Hisar districts. Adding he said: "We have nabbed two of the four accused - Jaideep, a resident of Shadipur village and Ved Parkash alias Kala from Ahirka village of Jind."
He said that Ved Parkash was the driver of the victim Satparkash. He along with the three accused hatched a plan to loot the trader. Police have started the investigation.
He added hunt for remaining two was still on.
