The crime branch has arrested two shopkeepers for allegedly selling replicas of branded clothes after fixing tags of various brands.

The accused have been identified as Yogesh Singh, owner of Style Check, shop number 10, Sector 10, and Ramesh Kumar, who runs a shop in SCO No 308309, Patel Market, Sector 15.

The police said the duo was found selling replica clothes of Lacoste, US Polo, Superdry, Calvin Klein and Peter England.

Likewise, Manish Jindal, a resident of Phase 9, SAS Nagar, filed a similar complaint against Ramesh.

A case under sections 63 and 65 of the Copyright Act was registered. The accused were later released on bail.
