UT adviser flags off six trucks for flood victims

UT adviser KK Sharma flagged off six trucks containing eatables, medicines, mineral water among other things on behalf of the Chandigarh administration in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh, as relief to the effected people in Uttarakhand.

The contributions poured in from city residents. A team of UT Red Cross and engineering department officials will be sent along with the truck to deliver the material.

UT deputy commissioner Mohd Shayin, additional deputy commissioner Tanvi Garg, secretary Red Cross Amandeep Kaur and joint secretary Red Cross Punam Malik were also present.
