Anticipating a protest by Haryana Education Ministerial Staff Association, the UT administration has imposed section 144 of the CrPC near the Haryana civil secretariat here. The orders will be enforced on April 16.

The orders were passed by UT deputy commissioner Mohammed Shayin, keeping in view that the protest can cause obstruction, annoyance or injury to persons lawfully employed, disturb public peace and tranquility and cause riots and affrays .
The order will not apply to security personnel, government staff on duty, and processions or meetings for which permission has been obtained from the district magistrate and sub-divisional magistrate.
