UT, MC employees stage protest,demand regularisation of services

Employees and workers of various departments of UT administration and municipal corporation under the banner of co-ordination committee of government and MC employees and workers on Wednesday staged a protest in front of the UT deputy commissioner's office and submitted a memorandum about their long-pending demands.

Addressing the members, Rakesh Kumar, convener of the committee, blamed the administration for deliberately sitting over their long-pending demands. He said the co-ordination committee approached the administration several times but their issue had not been resolved.

The committee is demanding the release of additional 7% dearness allowance (DA), regularisation of daily wages and work charged employees against the vacant posts as per the policy of Chandigarh administration, comprehensive and secured policy for the contractual employees, central pay scale and service condition for employees.
