The state government would fill the vacant posts of doctors after upgrading the basic infrastructure in the hospital and healthcare centers across the state.
Taking an amendment in the prevailing rules, the government has now decided to recruit diploma holders too.
Surjit Kumar Jyani, state health minister, addressing the research analysts from 18 different states and students, said this during the inaugural ceremony of the meet on capacity building and rejuvenation of community health in the field of nursing at Rattan Group of Institute, Sohana, on Friday.
He said, "The recruitment of 700 nurses and 400 doctors has been done recently, and even the amendment has been done in prevailing rules for recruitment. Also, the diploma holders will be recruited to fill the vacant posts of paramedical staff."
Chela Rani, president, society of community health of India, welcomed the analysts for submitting their research papers and said that during the programme, experiences related to opportunities and threats in the field of nursing will also be shared by them.
Sunderlal Aggarwal, chairman, Rattan Group of Colleges, said nursing students from 18 different states took part in the programme.
