The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has supported Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat's controversial remark on Mother Teresa that she served the poor with the aim of converting them to Christianity.
"Did he say anything wrong? He spoke the truth," said Dinesh Chandra, organising secretary general, VHP, who was in Panchkula for a Hindu sammelan as a part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the organisation.
On 'ghar wapsi', he said: "Religions which originated outside India carried out conversions. We have to stop it. We have to make sure that people don't convert and return to the Hindu fold. Ghar wapsi will continue and we will train temple priests to spread Hinduism."
He said added Ekal Vidyalayas in remote areas of the country play an important role in stopping conversions.
