Vivek Atray, a 2005 batch IAS officer, is the new deputy commissioner (DC) of Panchkula.
His last posting was the director, secondary education, in Panchkula. Earlier, he has held the posts of managing director, HARTRON and director IT, tourism and public relation in the Chandigarh administration.
Array is a novelist too. He recently came out with a novel “Dubey ji Bounces Back”. Vivek also worked in the corporate sector on a sabbatical from the government from 2008 to 2010.
Hamid Akhtar is Panchkula DCP
Hamid Akhtar, a 2008-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as new deputy commissioner of police (DCP) of Panchkula.
He replaces Rahul Sharma who has been shifted as superintendent of police (SP), Panipat. Akhtar was earlier posted as Rewari SP.
Sharma remained Panchkula DCP for over four months. He had replaced Y Puran Kumar, who had gone on leave after he accused his then superior Ajay Singhal of making casteist remarks against him.
