Former president of zila parishad and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Virander Singh Bhau on Sunday urged the residents of Kalka to vote for BJP in impending assembly polls to ensure development in the area.
Blaming the Congress party for ignoring the district in terms development, Shau said Congress had been wiped out across the country because of the BJP wave. Now, people in Haryana should vote for the party if they wanted progress in the Kalka constituency.
Shau was addressing a gathering of party leaders and workers held here where several workers of Indian National Lok Dal joined BJP in his presence. The BJP workers meeting was held as a run-up to assembly polls to be held in the state by September end.
Bhau added that after Lok Sabha polls, the challenge now were the assembly elections. “An MLA represents a constituency and it's important to have an MLA from BJP as the same party is ruling at the Centre.”
“Several problems like poor sanitation, sewerage, traffic jams etc. are ailing Kalka and Pinjore. Only BJP can bring about change in these areas, and whosoever gets ticket from the party should be supported so that we can form the government in Haryana,” Shau added.
