Peoples Democratic Party has said the coalition government headed by chief minister Omar Abdullah has failed on all fronts since mismanagement coupled with corruption and unemployment was rampant in the state.
Promising to set up vibrant panchayat raj institutions in the state, PDP leader Vikram Singh appealed to all sarpanches and panches to strengthen the hands of the PDP and cast their votes for PDP candidates, Gurmeet Singh Bajwa and Ved Mahajan, who are contesting the MLC elections.
Party leader Girish Sharma accused the ruling National Conference-Congress alliance of violating the model code of conduct. "We take strong exception to the misuse of the government's machinery by ruling parties in the election campaign for the legislative council.
We call upon the election authorities to immediately intervene and check this blatant violation of the model code," he said. Others who attended the conference included Girish Sharma, Sachin Sharma, Pankaj Gupta, Chaman Angral and Vikrant Singh.
