Punjabi rapper Badshah is rapping a different tune these days. The Chul hitmaker came out with parody of his recent hit DJ Waley Babu. The song titled Fashion Waley Babu was released on Wednesday and was an immediate success, getting over 1 lakh likes in two days.

“The guys from entertainment portal Infexion just came to me with the idea. I remember reading the idea, and then the lyrics, which I thought were awesome. They asked me to use my song, and I told them, ‘I want to be a part of it’!” he tells us. In the song, comedian Anandeshwar Dwivedi takes over as the Fashion Wale Baba. He can be seen telling youngsters not to worry about fashion sense.

Towards the end of it, Badshah, too, enters the scene, wearing a pink jacket, something which Badshah says he was not comfortable with in the beginning.

“The idea of wearing pink did not appeal to me at first. I mean pink is not my colour, black is,” he says, adding, “But then, they convinced me about it. I do look really good in it (laughs). I think that’s the idea of the song. Telling people that they should not be worried about what society thinks of them. They should be really confident about their decisions, because that’s what establishes the ‘style factor’ in an individual.
