Woman, daughter-in law mowed down by bus near Banur

A woman and her daughter-in-law were run over by a Mercedes Benz bus (PB03X-2600) of Dabwali transport company near the Banur sales tax barrier on the Zirakpur-Rajpura highway on Sunday. The incident took place around 8.45 am when the bus was en route Bathinda from Chandigarh.

A woman and her daughter-in-law were run over by a Mercedes Benz bus (PB03X-2600) of Dabwali transport company near the Banur sales tax barrier on the Zirakpur-Rajpura highway on Sunday. The incident took place around 8.45 am when the bus was en route Bathinda from Chandigarh.

According to reports, Nirmal Singh along with his wife Asha Rani, 47, and daughter-in-law Paramjit Kaur, 32, residents of Kurawala village situated on the Barwala road near Dera Bassi, were on their way to Nagari village near Banur when their motorcycle (PB65R-494) was hit by the bus.

The women fell on the road and were run over by the bus, killing them on the spot. Nirmal Singh also sustained injuries and was administrated first aid.
