Woman delivers baby in bus at Morinda

A woman passenger delivered a male child in a bus at Morinda on Monday morning.

Sarban Sharma from Bihar who resides in Sector-81, SAS Nangr along with his wife Usha and two-year- old child, had taken Haryana Roadways bus heading to Ludhiana. It was around 11am when Usha experienced labour pains. The Morinda bus stand was still 2 kilometre away from the spot. The bus driver took the bus directly to a private nursing home near bus stand. The doctors decided to conduct delivery in the bus only as shifting the woman could prove dangerous to the life of the child.

Afer delivery, Usha and her baby were admitted to the hospital. Their condition is said to stable.

Sarban Sharma and Usha were on their way to Iraq village near Machiwarra town of Ludhiana district and they were to change the bus at Samrala for their destination.
