Woman dies, 4 injured in accident

Four persons got injured while a woman died after an auto overturned here on Monday morning after it was hit by a car.
Giving details, police said Sunita, 45, died on the spot after an auto overturned on Sector 7/8 dividing road. All occupants of the auto- working as cook and maids in Sector 27- were going to their jobs when the auto was hit by a car from the rear side and it overturned.

The incident happened at about 8am when the auto driver, Ashu, was taking his family to Sector 27 from Kaimbwala. When the auto was turning towards Sector 7 from Sector 8, it overturned after being hit. According to police, passersby helped them to lift the auto.

The auto driver suffered head injuries. His wife, Gomti, brother's wife Suman and cousin Rajita got injured, while another distant aunt of the auto driver, Sunita, succumbed to her injuries.

The injured were rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, from where Sunita and Rajita were referred to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research (PGIMER). Sunita later succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, a case was registered against the car driver, identified as Kulwinder Singh, at Sector 26 police station. He was arrested and later bailed out.
