A day after India’s Got Talent’s one-legged dancer Shubhreet Kaur Ghumman alleged her Chandigarh-based husband Yash Makkar of torturing and duping her, Makker claimed innocence and instead levelled charges of mental harassment against the dancer.
Addressing a press conference, Makkar even called her psycho, alleging that it was Shubhreet who forced him to marry her. “She threatened of committing suicide if I did not marry her. I had then no option but to tie the knot with her hoping that we would have good marital life.”
Makkar even alleged that both Shubhreet and her mother tortured and beat him for five days from July 17 to 22 in their rented accommodation in SAS Nagar, following which he had filed complaint with Phase 7 police station, which is still pending.
Shubhreet, who shot to fame through reality show India’s Got Talent-5, tied the knot with Yash Makkar, who runs a gym in Mohali, on June 6.
Yash said, “We met through common friends in my gym in Mohali. It was she who proposed me. Later, we married after she influenced me emotionally.”
He said her behaviour changed soon after their marriage. “She started behaving in a bad manner with my parents who live in Sector 22, Chandigarh. Then I realised that it was a mistake marrying her. All her allegations are baseless,” he said.
